The Jesse Johnson Trio’s show opening up for Earl Thomas at KPRI’s Green Flash Concert Series was a great time. We had fun playing our mellow, “acoustic” set. Because of the expectation of bad weather, we were forced to move the whole thing from the outdoor patio, right on the ocean, to insde Birch Aquarium. With beautiful views of the sunset and Pacific Ocean through the aquarium’s floor to ceiling windows, and the positive energy of a crowd ready to rock with Earl Thomas, it didn’t much matter.

None of us had seen Earl perform before this event, though after hearing his music, we were ready for a good show. Still, Earl Thomas and The Blues Ambassadors exceed all possible expectations when it comes to putting on a live show… I’ve never seen a singer who can rival Earl’s energy, conviction, power, and commitment to the music.
